It’s a new day! The program formerly known as “Tidysongs” has been purchased, and had it’s own make over. The new program formerly known as Tidysongs is now called “Rinse My Music”, and is from what I can tell a way better program. I know something about it too:)

Since Tidysongs was launched over two years ago, I have been promoting it online as a great program. The reason I am able to promote it as a good program? This is simple, I use Tidysongs, and have used it since nearly the day it arrived on Google where I found it! The new program is even better yet because it has everything that Tidysongs had, only it is updated! I never had many complaints with the old version, but from what I can tell you so far about the new version, it will kick the old programs butt!

The new and updated look is great! This little program is soon to be my iTunes best friend on my desktop. It’s really something that iTunes has not figured out that people are not interested in taking up HOURS OR DAYS of their lives sifting through their iTunes library attempting to use the free methods to getting iTunes album artwork, deleting duplicates, organizing genres.. Pretty much anything you can think of, Rinse has nailed down at the press of a button!

So, like a fool, I listened to these websites, and I tried to do it all by myself. Hours later, and hundreds of attempts to find, and single out duplicates, I was tired, and bored to death trying to get all of the duplicates in my iTunes library to disappear for good! All I kept thinking about was how I wish there was just a program that I could use to clean up duplicates in iTunes easily.

Finally, I said forget about it, I am not going to sit here any longer and try to clean up my library… It could take forever!

Here is a quick story for all of you newer readers visiting my site for the first time. The story begins with a messy iTunes library, a disgruntled customer, (me) and a major popular website called iTunes.

iTunes is clearly on of the leading music websites in my mind. I am 24 years old and iTunes has really become THE go to site among my age group. That being said, I tend to look at what they could be doing better rather then what they are doing. I will say that they have come a long way since iTunes first broke onto the scene, but I can still find some things to complain about for my readers(:

Ten Questions for iTunes:

1. Dear iTunes, (haha)  why do I have to buy the newest versions of music I have downloaded before?

2. Why do I have to single out ever duplicate in my iTunes library in order to delete it.

3. WHY DO DUPLICATES even exist in my iTunes library at all?

4. Why cannot I do a select all when I am working on deleting the duplicates in my iTunes library? How come I have to select one at a time?

5. Will iTunes ever let me organize my library according to what I like, or want?

6. Why is it so complicated to transfer my iTunes music from one library to another. I understand your responsibility to the album’s and artist. I know you want to protect them from theft of their music. But I have paid my due’s and I want MY music.

7. Why doesn’t iTunes cleanup music by itself. If programs created on the free market such as Tuneup Media, and Tidysongs can simply and easily come up with a solution, then why can’t you?

8. Track 01 sucks! The real name is better! ( I am aware this is not a question.. I think you know what I am asking for here..)

9. Album art is prettier then the iTunes logo, when will you fill up the album cover artwork instead of letting my library sit unorganized, and ugly.

The answer to all of these questions is simply not to expect iTunes to do anything. My story is about me, and my iTunes library. One day, about a two years ago, I was thinking about how great it would be to organize my library, and have all of my friends insist on using my music when at a party, or driving in the car. Not being able to find out what I have in there is a terrible attribute.

I began my search, and figured out that iTunes offer’s some different options for cleaning up my iTunes library. However, these options are not what I would recommend to anyone that values time in their lives. These options drove me nuts, clicking on file while in my library, scrolling around trying to figure out what to fix ONE BY ONE!

There are a few different programs I found on google, and was smart enough to invest in. One of them is called Tidysongs, and it is a great program. After downloading the trial version of this program I realized that it was totally automated. I did not need to go through one by one and try to fix these messed up song titles, or delete duplicates. Tidysongs does all of that for me, and for that I am extremely thankful.
